Old Sketches and Posing Kitty Dude

In an effort to organize and clean up a bit more I found this old skethbook of things I had drawn. Eyes and faces, etc. While I was organizing and had piles of papers over the floor Duded sat and helped by telling me like all men how I was doing it wrong.

Mommy that's messy, you really should clean that up

I found some eyes I did

More animated eyes for Manga and anaimals

Windy my manga character
Then I found some drawings I was going to put in my Mangashon book. Manga and Fashion...MangaShon. Yeah, well, some drawings happened but I always put too much on my plate so this didn't happen either.
An Asain lady I drew for my Manga Book

Manga Shoes

Dude say "Whatdya want?"

Then he turned his back on me and told me to keep cleaning up

Here is another Fashion picture I drew

Close up of fashion

Then I was snapping up more pics of Dude and got him not ready

Hey I wasn't ready!!!
See posing! "Aren't I such a pretty kitty?"
Yes Dude youa re are a pretty kitty.

Much better

A Blissbombed Board-Hell No Hell Yes

I have been reading and receiving notes, letters from Blissbombed and  Stephanie St. Claire and amazing and power inspiration to get through this time in my life (duhn duhn duhn)...A Break Up. One of the things I received recently was the Hell No Hell Yes blog.

The first time I read it,
I cried.
The second time I read it,
I smiled
The third time I read it,
I decided it MUST be a Blissbombed Board.

I just had to have it on something I could see, read and regularly view and remind myself of these things. Some of the words speak to me more than others, but either way when I walk by my dresser and see this Blissbombed Board, I am remind to stay true to myself, and say Hell No to the wrong things and Hell Yes to the right things.

The ones that jump because they are former men in my life are listed below (this is just the ones that spoke tome but there are more on the blog)

Blissbombed Board

No to the man who doesn’t have his financial life in order.
No to the man who starves you with very little communication or time together to keep you wanting him.
No to the man who describes your relationship as ‘complicated.’
No to the man who gets drunk and becomes a possessive asshole.
No to the man whose security comes from you wanting him.
No to the man who calls your emotions ‘drama.’
No to the man who habitually escapes life with video games, pot, porn,
or self-help books.

Yes to the man who keeps figuring out what he wants.
Yes to the man who tries to communicate with God.
Yes to the man who goes on with his own life while he’s waiting for you.
Yes to the man who really tries to see it from your point of view no matter how much sense you’re not making.
Yes to the man who takes note of your favorite things and gives them to you.
Yes to the man who works his ass off every day.
Yes to the man who asks you what you need.
Yes to the man who wants to be your best friend.
Yes to the man who’s own self-respect is the top of his priority list.
Yes to the man who is skilled at having difficult conversations and doesn’t fight back with blaming, silence, yelling, or amnesia.
Yes to the man who lets you lavish your love on him and helps you bloom as a woman in the process.
Yes to the man who knows his worth, his liquor limit, his day rate, and his sell point.

Go find the man who you can say yes to …. and say YES!

Living Radiantly

I haven't had time to work on my Radiant Goddess things as much but I did take some time to use a Sticker book I had and made a collage of veggies and fruits and something to make me smile

Then I used an old calendar, cut out a few sheets and glued them in a for a base or by iteself

Then I glued the Sunflowers...upside down LOL Oh well
When I hear certain things they have been really sparking my creativity. I think it is because I am living so Radiantly. I used to pass them off but now when I hear here I have to jot them down or scribble them out
In Goddess Leonie's You Have Permission she mentioned climbing up a ladder to the clouds, this little sketch just had to come out of my head

The path to Love is the path to the heart. I am going to make this bigger as a reminder

Also in an effort to live Radiantly I put my Twinkle Lights back up
I really like Twinkle Lights.

They make me happy.

They warm my heart and keep my soul at PEACE which is my Word for this year. I already had them up I just have forgot to light them lately. So I plugged in and actually smiled a nice warm smile.

Keep living Radiantly! I know I will

SOAR and Just Be Yourself! 2012-Week One

One fo the things I really wanted to get back into was Journaling. Plus I have been a part of Just Be Yourself for awhile and haven't done much with it and I wanted to remedy that. As my luck would have it SOAR is here and I joined up so I could do both.

Whhn I was a Professional Genealogist I would constantly tell oters about the importance of this for posterity, etc. All of which is true and fine but what if you don't have any? What if you get to the "I don't care about my posterity?" point (which is where I was)

Well, I now say this: What about you? I have recently gone back in my old journals as a way of rememberabce. Remembering the good times, as well as bad. Remembering the things in my life I accomplished. Remembering the things I wanted to do but didn't and more. Looking back CAN be bad I think but depending on What you write, How you write it and How you see it when looking back all matters.

I say come join me and don't be afraid to write. Do an art journal, write thoughts, write goals, write accomplishments. Your journal can be anything you want it to be. YOU are the author. YOU are worth leaving something behind. If not for others... for yourself.

Here is week one (1) the beginnings of my SOAR work...

Happy Flying!

Dragon, Dragon...I don't do that tongue thing...sssss

My morning started with me a moleskin sketchbook (I really need/want more of these) a pencil. a large sketch pad
and
DRAGONS.

No Tv.
No Music.
No Disruptions.
Just me, my art and dragons.

For Willowing's January Challenge we are to draw a dragon. I was super excited because I haven't drawn Dragons in a while but really love to. I share my former Dragons here

and now here is what I came up with so far.

The Dragon Piece I am working on now is a bit different and I am trying something mroe challenging. A warrior in addition to a Dragoness. Here are some preliminary pictures. Oh I also drew one little piece to add for now...

A hatching Dragoness who in my head is saying devilishly.."Here I Come, Ready or Not..."

I still have some scaling to do and the warrior. This is gonna take some time for sure, but ya know, I love it.
I am happy with my progress as an artist lately. I really think I have grown and am growing.

I drew this on my own. (I did have a reference but I still drew it)

I did NOT use a light box (I have in the past at times).

I thougt up the idea, I am putting two reference photos together for an idea and I am the one creating it.

I am the Master in this Art plan of mine.It feels good.

Plus, I missed drawing Dragons with all their scales and detail. More to come as I go.

Thank to J who has always bee such a Muse and Inspiration. We taught each other I guess. :)

Grounding-Trees

In the Goddess Circle I am doing a Radiant Goddess Course. On the Divine Daily Planner it talked about Grounding and a few of us didn't know what that meant. So I looked it up

Grounding is the first step taught in many spiritual practices. Whatever your beliefs this simple practice can make a significant difference to your life. This consists of connecting yourself energetically to the core of Mother Earth. You will find that grounding before meditation or astral travelling will aid inner focus. If you are feeling spacey or disoriented grounding and centering will help tremendously.
There are many techniques for grounding and it is wise to look for those that work best for you. The essence of most methods is to relax and visualize yourself sending down an energy cord or light beam into the earth from your root chakra (at the base of your spine), or from the soles of your feet, and allowing it to reach the earths core. Once this is done you can either return excess, or negative energy to the earth for transformation or you can draw up energy into your body.

My personal favourite is to visualize myself as a tree sending down roots from the charkas on the bottom of my feet. These roots travel swiftly down into the earth’s core and draw up rich dark Mother Earth energy spiralling up and throughout my body.

Here is what is so profund to me about that...if you have been reading my AAD posts you may know my October Create Every Day goal was to draw 10 Trees. I have found I REALLY like drawing these whimsical trees and I feel it is freeing and flowing out of me to draw them. Funny now how I connect drawing the trees and doing Zentangles (which I just did and didn't know that's what I was doing btw) as a means of inking them back into Grounding.

The last ones are some photos of some Bonsai Trees taken at the Des Moines Botanical garden. I saw them this summer...perhaps subconsconsciously they were an inspiration without me even knowing it...hmmm

Love and Light,
Always,
Trisha

CED-NEW 2012

The theme for Create Every Day is NEW....hmmm... so the last few days I have been writing and midn mapping as you will what NEW means to me or what I think New is...

New

Showers
Rain,
Sunrise
Fresh
Clean
Winter Crisp
Plants
First Snow
Bounce Dryer Sheets smell new
Washing Hands
New Year Resolutions
Goals
Life
Light
New packages of things
New Makeup
New Toys
New Ideas

Then I thought of those signs that look like they are yelling at you..

Plants coming up from the ground are new and so I sketched this too...

I thought of how we can BREAK off a piece of an old plant and start something NEW that could grow to be even better than it was before and remembered my NEW Bamboo plant I started by doing just that

I also wrote a NEW post on the first NEW day of the YEAR for my other blog As Days go By- CLICK if you want to read it. I did a Divine De Cluttering and brought in some NEWness today.

Then I thought, New Year is new...perhaps I shoudl wish people a Happy New Year...but since that is drab and boring, I am wishing you a Happy Hooo Year from me and Ollie the Owl

Your Crazy Arteest,

Trisha
