Life always gets in the way of Art doesn't i? So frustrating. Well, today I made a determination to post my art for AEDM even it kills me. It's not killing but I was being a slacker and not making time. In addition to having some back health problems but I think I am starting to get that under control....
Here is my most recent work...
This is ok, but not what I am wanting. I found a Hand Lettering Group in Fb with Dawn Nicole and am going to try that out this week. https://www.facebook.com/groups/dawnnicoledesigns/
Come join us!
More from AEDM coming soon (I hope)

AEDM Nov 2: Colouring Art Noveau
Another day of Art Every Day Month http://creativeeveryday.com/art-every-day-month
I did a bit of coloring last night. Was a little wiped so I didn't feel like working in my art journal. Plan on doing it today. Here is what I colored last night. I really like Surrealism. Mucha, Art Noveau, etc.
I have been dying to color this one. The flower petals didn't turn out as I like, but some of the best masterpieces come out of mistakes. I am avid about coloring at least once a week. Maybe more. AEDM will be a good challenge for that.
I started this last night and finished it today. I am going to do my best to keep up with the daily linking. Do you like Art Noveau? Do you have any links to colouring pages that you wouldn't mind sharing? I do a few mandalas here or there, but I must more enjoy pictures.
I love the hair on the lady here. Odd, now that I am a redhead again I seem to be drawn to coluring that way. I always color alternating on the hair. It is like, my thing I guess. Also I did use Copics but I tried to give the dress a ruffled velvet or velour look to it. I think I did ok with that.
Mostly I wanted to share how drawn (no pun intended) to this image I am. I have really been feeling depressed and alone lately. We just moved to a new city, just got married two months ago, and this will be our first holiday with no family or friends.
I think this image just really resonates with me. Shielding my Heart chakra and protecting my soul house. Subdued and a bit withdrawn. Just being solemnly me.
Thanks for stopping by. Leave a note if you can. :)

AEDM Nov 1
Since I just started this art journal, I figured this would be the best catalyst to track my AEDM posts and progress. i want to share with you what I have so far, even though I barely started it. I may change it up a bit as I am a seamstress and I am also doing mindfulness colouring. So you never know what you might see. First and foremost though, I will work on the journal. I love art journaling and so happy to have a chance to share it with others. I just love the arts in general and anything creative is a masterpiece i my mind. I look forward to connect with the rest of you. I usually swing by a few on my first few days but then it gets to be so crazy that I have to wait until the weekend to catch up with ya'll. Ill do my best. Please stop by and say hi!
Here is what I am starting with for AEDM 2015
Well, that's it for today. Come back tomorrow and let's see where my creative bug lands for AEDM Nov 2. See ya on the flipside.

Here is what I am starting with for AEDM 2015

A basic Mixed Media Sketch book I covered with Pink Packing tape. I love the look of it.

As a Newlywed I am proudly announcing my new Last Name Initial M for Merrill, of the Wisconsin Merrill's. I just joined the clan by marrying the youngest son (which i call HunEPants)

Life is too fabulous for words. This is from a stamp a friend gave me then I squiggled around it and colored it. I am the Sprinkler of Fabulousness, so why wouldn't I have that as my start page.
![]() |
I want to make ornate lettered quotes. Just entered a class how to do so. Watch as my progression unfolds.

And then there is Surrealism. I love Dali the best but enjoy Kush and some other arts too. This is my writing regarding my thoughts on Surrealism and my life.

AEDM Art Everyday Month - November Challenge
Wow! It has been so long. I am married now, have three cats, live in Colorado, am on a fabulous adventure with my new business Juste Etre and doing what I love, completely and whole heartedly again! Isn't it odd that going back to the tools and things we know are almost like olfactory senses?
I was reading my Artizen Coaching Newsletter and she had a link to Leah's Art Every Day Month for November. Seeing the page and the blog links made me feel home again. I felt like I had rediscovred myself, almost.
I keep telling my HunEPants (that's my new hubby of two months) that I want to get back to how I felt before. How connected I felt. How secure and stable I felt. How alive I felt. Mostly how at Peace I felt. That to me is the epitome of Juste Etre.
So I am challenging myself to be back on track. Odd enough a week ago I bought myself a new art journal to to an Art journal piece daily. My sub conscious mind must have know this was coming.
I was thinking about doing NaNoWriMo again this year, but I am not sure writing is where I desire to put my energy. Maybe there is a way I can incorporate the two. hmmm....
I do like how she thinks broadly.
So I am here to share my start into AEDM
I accept this challenge!

I look forward to seeing you!

You could be cooking, taking pictures, dancing, writing music, crafting for the holidays, painting, sculpting, writing poetry, making jewelry, sewing, knitting, art journaling, you name it. You could decide to do a small 2"x2" drawing each day or you could do something different every day. Up to you!

Summer of Color Pink Green - Index
This week our SOC Challenge was pink and green. My favorites! I saw someone else on the group did Index Card and I thought that would be nice to add to that challenge. Here is my adorable little submission for this week.
I use a little Croquis I made some time ago for my female template and then draw my designs from there. This turned out so cute I might just have to make this one!! :)

Summer of Color 2014 - Coral & Teal with a Smudge, Splash or Pop of Bright White
Week Two of Summer of Color 4 is with MORE colors I just adore!!
Coral & Teal
with a Smudge, Splash or Pop of Bright White
I have been wanting to make a poster for my Core Desired Feelings for Danielle La Porte's The Desire Map and decided this proved to be a good representation of what I wanted to do for colors. They are cheery but not overpowering. I think it still allows all the sentiments to come through on their own and yet still give it an artistic flair.
Hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoy making and creating them.
Follow your desires and live for your intentions and no matter what,
Be YOU and Be Fabulous!!

Summer of Color- 2014 SOC4
Well, we are at it again. I am taking each prompt as they come. Not assigning any ONE element to my designs. Not aprons or people or anything. Just whatever moves me with the prompt.
With this prompt I decided to do something digital.

Summer of Color: Citron Turq Apron
So of course I am doing Summer of Color with Twinkle, Twinkle Like a Star Blogspot again!
I love this gal and I take every chance I can to unleash the artist in me to follow her color schemes and show my creativity.
Since of course I am doing more aprons now, I thought this year, in a different art form I would try, TRY being the key word there to do some Aprons and other things I make in the SOC3 colors she gives us.
This week we have Citron Green and Turquoise.
What a Challenge.
But I found a fabulous old skirt at the DAV and rePurposed it into an Apron!
I don't also do pockets in my aprons because sometimes I like to leave them in that dressy skirty style. To me, Aprons are a Fashion Accesory. You should eb able to wear it from

Values Cards
I wanted to take something ordinary and make it Extraordinary! Isn't it funny though how that word is just Extra Ordinary put together? Anyway, I wanted to make it better than that! I was reading in the Right Brain Business Plan about creating Values Cards and I remember I had these tiny little cards that I never play with or do anything with. I got the ideas for the Values from the book Working for Good. Between the two I think I came up with a really unique idea and something creative as well!
So I thought maybe I could cover them and make my values cards out of them. Then I thought if I punched a hole in them and got some key rings to put it on that might make it even cuter and more special! So that is just what I did! I mod podged the covers onto the cards. I cut out the sayings and was trying to glue them down and a friend was texting me and teasing me about mod podge. I wasn't going to use mod podge but it wasn't working gluing the strips down so in the end I used mod podge after all. I guess Mod Podge does rock! :)
These are a list of the values I believe in and cherish for Heroes for the Homeless. I came to these by going through the “Right Brain Business Plan” and also the book “Working for Good”. I decided to do 30 for 30 because there usually 30 days in a month. I added a 31st which is my final reminder to remember to keep leaping. I think when we stop leaping and we get afraid. I put these on a key ring and carry them with me so I remember to always look at them and least one every single day!
